2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 380 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

Happy New Year!

I have recently returned from my annual camping trip to the Winnipeg Folk Festival! The trip was an overall success and I took pictures and notes to share how I did it with you. I have been slowly recovering, getting myself reorganized and I’m starting to be ready to share….

Reaction Report

Headaches and heartburn. I think it’s from the new honey I tried earlier. Headaches started almost right away. Belly feels tight, like all the muscles are engaged, but not swollen. Head feels like a big sinus headache with occasional sharp flashes in temples. Eyes swollen. Lots of post nasal drip. Poo was urgent, early in the night, but not painful. Burping like crazy and the heartburn hurts, feels like I want to vomit.

reaction report

Up in the night with colon pain, 12 hour sleep, blood in my stool this morning. The guilty culprits could be the figs or the pecorino 😦

Update: awesome night… Slept through 11 hours, but no pain in the morning! Mushy poo, but no pain! (This is a big deal because it has only happened a couple times in the last summer!) I finished the pecorino cheese last night, so that isn’t the main problem. That means the figs are highly suspect 😦 Bummer! They were my favorite! (Yet another clue… The things that I crave most almost always have something wrong with them. Maybe too much sugar, maybe the seeds are too irritating, maybe something corny in production)

eating me alive

This video is a little dramatic (especially the music!) and ends in an ad, but it does bring home the point that parasites are a factor to consider. I think it is time for me to really look into the best way for a corn allergic person to deal with a parasitic infestation….

Here’s another video with a test to make sure the parasites haven’t completely taken over yet:

reaction report

I didn’t really want to start this way, but I guess this is kinda what its all about….
I tried a chocolate bar yesterday. Equal Exchange Chocolates: Organic Ecuador Dark 65%. I’ve tried it two other times in the last year (when its on sale at the coop)…. First time went OK, second time not so sure, this third time clinches it: these don’t work for me!

Chocolate. Ate it around 5 last night. Started feeling bad right away. Got really tired. Fell asleep EARLY. Woke in 3-4 hours with soft poo. Belly really nauseous. Feel like throwing up but can’t. Headache. The kind that feels sinusy, but has no drip… behind the eyes and in the middle of my head, down the core of my neck to behind the collarbones. Armpits sore. Shoulders feel tense, jumpy, achy. Wrists ache. BELLYACHIN. Neck swollen, especially down right side. Red ring around bottom lip.

Temples and sides of head very tender to the touch. Had some coffee earlier to get the poo out. Starting to think I could fall asleep again. Belly really nauseous.

I think the poo is finally out, after 3 or 4 tries. Soft, sticky, light colored, sinks to the bottom.

More poo. Leaves my colon feeling twitchy

More poo! When will it stop?

so many questions…

Who What Why Where When?

How?
How do I envision this website?

  • I see a place where I can consolidate and organize the mass quantities of information I have been gathering for the last 3 years into a format that is easier to understand.
  • I see a way to communicate that information to my friends, family, and anyone else who may have reason to find it useful.
  • I see a pattern in the world around me, one that scares me. This country is producing more poison than food and not enough people are paying attention. Maybe with this blog I can make more people aware enough of not only the current problems, but of the many solutions that are still available to us. It is never too late!

It is never too late…
…to repair our own failing nutrition, to replenish the ravaged earth, to heal the damage done by our modern world.

I hear by dedicate myself to this blog. I shall set aside my fears of writing and trust that my communication skills will develop along the way. I am excited to share my discoveries with everyone!

There is just so much to tell you….
